    I respect the technique he's aquired over many years of practice but, he just doesn't do anything for me.
    I saw him at the 'Montreal Drumfest' and i walked out after 20 minutes, his solo was repetitive and unmusical. Sounded like a lot of masturbation to me, sorry.

    Wow, those drums sound like POO! I've heard better tin cans! And these are the new Pearls!?

    Mike is a great guy and VERY good at what he does, but I agree - lacking musicality, unless he is playing flight of the bumblebee which is pretty amazing (on his site). His clinics and solos are 98% technical demonstrations.

    Mike is a kind, thoughtful guy and one of the most skilled drummers alive. He sets a benchmark for polyrhythmic control, speed and interdependence. He just may not be your idea of what musical is.
